About Me

Colleen Smith

Mental Health Clinician

Colleen holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University and is passionate about empowering individuals to find healing, hope and contentment.

Colleen is currently working under supervision in the state of Maine as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor conditionally. Colleen enjoys working with individuals from all backgrounds. One of her strengths is trauma processing with clients, drawing from her own experiences, clinical training, and compassionate personality. Another strength is working with individuals suffering from panic disorder, anxiety, and phobias. Using the Treatment Protocol Manual Colleen has seen many people get relief from various anxiety disorders.

Colleen has been working for 3.5 years at Church Therapy Associates, a non profit committed to bringing quality mental health care to churches in Massachusetts. Colleen is a firm believer in creating community resources and services and meeting individuals needs where they are.

Colleen is passionate about helping people fight the battle of depression. Personally struggling with postpartum depression, and depression off and on for her entire adult life has been a challenge. She knows firsthand how debilitating and defeating depression can be and is focused on helping individuals get the right support.

Colleen is also a Christian, and attended Regent University to understand some of the ways to incorporate Christianity into clinical counseling work. If you are interested in navigating your mental health with an integrated clinical and Christian perspective, Colleen is equipped to do this with you.

Originally from Massachusetts, Colleen is currently living in Maine with her family. Colleen is married and has 8 children within her blended family. Navigating a blended family makes her passionate about helping other couples. Colleen enjoys hiking, running ultramarathons, and spending time at the beach with a good book. Colleen also is a certified ultra running coach, making her able to support runners who are also struggling with their mental health.
